South Carolina sent head coach Dawn Staley and All-America senior guard Tiffany Mitchell to NCAA Women’s Basketball Media Day at ESPN studios in Bristol, Conn., Tuesday. The Gamecocks joined representatives from Baylor, UConn, Maryland, Notre Dame and Tennessee as the network gathered the 2015 NCAA Final Four coaches and the top five players in the nation to preview the 2015-16 season.

In the first year of the event, the NCAA partnered with ESPN to give the participants a great experience and help fans get excited about the upcoming season, which officially tips off on Fri., Nov. 3. Highlights of the day for the Gamecocks included a live interview on Sports Center; Staley’s appearance on His & Hers to talk about her team, the future of female coaches in the NBA and her last meeting with Philadelphia icon Moses Malone; and an interview for Outside the Lines that will air this Sunday. Staley and Mitchell also met with several espnW staffers, who will share the content throughout the season, did a remote interview with SEC Network’s Maria Taylor for SEC Now and met with national women’s basketball writers.
