COLUMBIA, S.C. –
For the 21st time, South Carolina earned a bid in the NCAA Tournament, hosting a first-round match on Thursday against Furman, the NCAA announced today.

The Gamecocks stand at 11-7-1 on the season, while the Paladins are 8-5-5 after winning the 2015 Southern Conference Tournament. The Gamecocks own an 18-8-4 mark in the series that dates back to the program’s first year, with the two teams playing once in NCAA Tournament action. South Carolina won that first-round meeting in 1993, 1-0.

Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Stone Stadium in Columbia. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for college students with ID and youth 3-17. Youth ages 2 and under get in free.

South Carolina is one of four Conference USA teams (also Charlotte, FIU and Kentucky) to earn a spot in this year’s tourney.
