2015 Men’s Soccer Final Rankings Get Acrobat Reader

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina ended the 2015 season ranked 22nd in the NSCAA NCAA Division I Men’s Final Poll, the organization released on Tuesday, while Gamecock senior Jeffrey Torda earned a spot on the 2015 NSCAA Scholar All-South Region second team.

The Gamecocks went 11-8-2 on the year, advancing into the NCAA Tournament second round while finishing third in Conference USA. The team also stood 19th in the final RPI report from the NCAA, while the squad ranked 21st according to College Soccer News and 22nd by Top Drawer Soccer.

Torda claimed a second-team spot for the second-straight year, as he led South Carolina with four game-winning goals while tying for second on the team with five goals. The senior from Colleyville, Texas, wrapped up his Gamecock career with 15 career goals, six counting as game-winners.

Seven Gamecocks were honored in the Conference USA postseason awards, while three made the NSCAA All-Southeast Region listings. Torda earned third-team All-Southeast Region and All-C-USA honors while making the C-USA All-Academic Team for the second-straight season. He also has two CoSIDA Academic All-District 4 certificates to his credit, earning one this year.

South Carolina earned its 21st bid into the NCAA Tournament this season. With an 8-0-2 home record, the Gamecocks completed the second undefeated home slate in program history.
