COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina beach volleyball program announced two more student-athletes for the upcoming 2016 season, welcoming in Sarah Nacouzi and Caroline Skaff. The pair joins the four-member November signing class of Alison Denney, Frances Harrison, Carly Schnieder and Katie Smith.

Sarah Nacouzi || 5-10 || Cardinal Gibbons High School || Raleigh, North Carolina
Parents: Vincent and Michele Nacouzi

• Played club volleyball for John Lysik at Southern Sands Volleyball Club
• Played indoor volleyball for Logan Barber at Cardinal Gibbons High School
• Won All-Tournament award and three state championships with indoor team
• Plans to major in biochemistry and molecular biology
Moritz on Nacouzi: “Sarah is a fast, athletic defender and is absolutely improving as a beach player. She is very smart and driven, which will add great competitiveness to our team.”

Caroline Skaff || 5-11 || Battlefield High School || Haymarket, Virginia

• Grandfather played baseball at Villanova and with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Philadelphia Athletics and her father played basketball at George Mason as well as professionally in Switzerland for Fribourg
• Played club volleyball for Seng Chiu at Dulles Volleyball Club
• Named to the 2015 JVA Beach Watch List and 2015 East Coast Power League Tournament MVP with club team
• Played indoor volleyball for Mackenzie Tingle at Battlefield High School
• Named to the 2015 Loudon Valley High School All-Tournament Team and 2015 Under Armour All-American Watch List
• Named to the 2014 First Team All-Conference, 2014 First Team All-Region, 2014 Second Team 6A All-State and 2014 Washington Post’s All-Met Honorable Mention
• Named the 2013 All-Conference MVP, 2013 First Team All-Conference, 2013 First Team All-Region, 2013 Second Team 6A All-State and 2013 Washington Post’s All-Met Honorable Mention
