MIAMI — The South Carolina beach volleyball team is now 13-8 on the year after dropping three matches at the Surf and Turf Classic on Friday at Lummus Park.

After falling 5-0 to No. 8 Georgia State in the first match, the Gamecocks fought with No. 10 Florida International, pushing three sets on three courts but falling 3-2 in the match. South Carolina closed out the day with a 5-0 loss No. 2 Southern Cal.

The Gamecocks are back in action Saturday in the final day of the tournament. Carolina will face No. 18 Tulane at 10 a.m. and No. 9 Stetson at 1 p.m.
