Chatkevicius To Play With Dallas Mavericks In NBA Summer League

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Former South Carolina men’s basketball player Laimonas Chatkevicius will play with the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks in the Orlando Summer League, the organization announced on Wednesday. Chatkevicius, a four-year letterwinner with the Gamecocks, averaged career highs during his senior campaign, including 10.2 points per game. Summer League action in Orlando begins on July 2.
Chatkevicius played in 123 career games with 65 starts, including a career high 28 starts during his senior season. His 10.2 points per game during his final campaign marked a career high, while he also hit a career high 53.8 percent from the field and 73.8 percent from the free throw line. Chatkevicius had two double-doubles during his senior campaign, first a 12-point, 10-rebound performance in the SEC opening win at Auburn, before posting 17 points and 10 rebounds in an overtime thriller at Ole Miss. He also posted the first 20-point game of his career with 27 points in a home win versus Oral Roberts in November, before posting a career high 30 points in the Carolina NIT win versus High Point.
