Quoting Coach Bill McDonald
“The guys played well today in some really difficult conditions. The wind was humming most of the day and swirling in some low spots on the course. Keenan’s round was special and really fun to watch. We need to keep grinding the next couple of days, but I’m very proud of how the team handled themselves. We’re looking forward to the challenge tomorrow.”
Round Changer
Keenan Huskey has played seven of his 10 rounds under-par in 2016, which leads the team. He took sixth-place at last year’s Ka’anapali Collegiate Classic after shooting 210 (-3). All four of his career rounds at Ka’anapali Golf Club have been at par or better. He’s tied for the field lead in birdies with seven after the first day.
