Allden to Direct USATF Level 1 School This Weekend

COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of South Carolina track & field assistant coach Andrew Allden will direct a USATF Level 1 School from Jan. 6-8 in Columbia, and registration is still available. Local track & field coaches are welcome to register for the three-day event, with training topics including biomechanics, track & field psychology, training theory, endurance and more.
Registration costs $240 and a current USATF membership is required. Registration can be found here.
The school will be held at the Public Health Research Center, Room 114. The building is located at 921 Assembly Street in Columbia.
Currently coach of the women’s cross country team at the University of South Carolina, Allden will be the school’s endurance instructor. He is a Level 1 and Level 2 instructor and has 21 years of experience as a Division I collegiate coach. He has coached an NCAA Division I Men’s National Champion in the 800m and in 2003 was named Southeast Men’s Coach of the Year. Allden has been involved with Coaching Education for 20 years and is the founder of the Running Summit, a multi-city coaching education course for endurance coaches.
