COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball is adding several elements to Monday night’s game at Colonial Life Arena against Tennessee, including a special fan-participation tribute to legendary Lady Vols’ coach Pat Summitt.

Local retailer Barefoot Outfitters will have a free t-shirt for the first 750 fans to visit their store (700 Lincoln Street) before the game, starting at 4:30 p.m.

For students, the first 500 in attendance will receive a t-shirt from Barefoot Outfitters, and there will also be free food available as well as prizes to be won in a raffle at every timeout.

Inside Colonial Life Arena, Gamecock football sophomores Hayden Hurst and Deebo Samuel will help get the crowd fired up as guest DJs. The pair recruited some teammates for another special addition to halftime festivities.

Between the third and fourth quarters, AllSouth Federal Credit Union and the Gamecocks will team up for the first card stunt in NCAA women’s basketball. Every seat in the lower bowl will have a color-coded card for that seat’s fan to hold up at a choreographed time to reveal an image to honor the legendary Pat Summitt for her contributions to women’s basketball.

“Over the past 26 years, Kivett Productions has created over 250 card stunts, and we’re thrilled to be producing the first ever women’s basketball card stunt for the University of South Carolina,” said Joe Kivett, president of Kivett Productions. “We are so honored to pay tribute to legendary Tennessee women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt.”

The Gamecocks and Lady Vols tip off at 6 p.m. with the game to be broadcast on ESPN2.
