Affordability, convenience and of course, flexibility, are top reasons South Carolina baseball fans should check out the new all-mobile Flex Pass that went on sale last week.

“This is on the cutting edge,” said Clay Wilson, assistant director of ticket operations. “This is brand new, and I don’t think anyone else is doing this for college baseball. This is similar to what they are doing in Major League Baseball.”

With the new Baseball Flex Pass, fans can purchase a 10-pass plan for $59 or a 30-pass plan for $150, with the flexibility to attend any home games they choose. Fans simply choose the matchup, the day, and the quantity of passes needed for each game. The Baseball Flex Pass enables buyers to bring different people to each game, with up to 10 passes per game being used. Passes do not need to be printed, as the program is 100 percent mobile.

“It’s great because you use your mobile phone, take that bar code straight to the gate where it’s scanned, and you get in,” Wilson said. “You buy the package, and then you manage your tickets to exchange the voucher for passes. All you have to do is go to the South Carolina Game Day App.”

South Carolina baseball fan Mark Leslie recently purchased the Baseball Flex Pass and found it very easy to use.

“It wasn’t difficult at all,” Leslie said. “We liked this because we were able to adjust to fluctuations in our schedule where we may not have been available for a Saturday game, so we were able to choose a Friday or Sunday game. This made it much easier to get to as many games as we wanted to without having to miss something because of our schedules.”

I definitely will use it again … I definitely recommend using it.

If you don’t have the time or budget to be a season ticket holder, that’s just fine as you do not have to be a member of the Gamecock Club to take advantage of the Baseball Flex Pass. Like the name implies, it’s very flexible and won’t break your budget.

“You can use the passes for any game,” Wilson said. “That includes the Clemson game. The 10-pass plan is less than $6 per pass, and the $30-pass plan is right at $5 per pass. Single game tickets are normally $10 for outfield bleacher seats and standing room only.”

“Instead of buying a full season, you get to pick the games you want,” said Joe O’Clair, assistant director of marketing. “A lot of people aren’t going to make it to 32 home games, so this gives fans a chance to pick the games they want based on the 10-pass or 30-pass plan.”

Adding to the convenience is that fans can purchase the passes at any time, and they can buy into the plan as many times as they want.

“It goes right along with the customer’s schedule,” Wilson said. “You don’t have to commit to a certain game. If you have a day that you get off work early and decide you want to go to the game, you just log into the South Carolina Game Day App and he or she can use one of the passes that have been purchased for that day. You can also pick your games as soon as you buy the pass plan if you want to do that.”

“I definitely will use it again,” Leslie said. “It wasn’t very hard to go through and find tickets for the games we wanted. I definitely recommend using it. I’ve been telling people about it.”
