COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina head men’s basketball coach Frank Martin and his staff hosted the annual Legends Weekend in Columbia, Feb. 3-4. Former Gamecock student-athletes and staff members began the weekend at the Legends Reception, before attending South Carolina’s contest versus border rival Georgia the following day at Colonial Life Arena. This year’s event celebrated all Gamecock greats, and highlighted the 20th anniversary of the 1997 SEC Championship squad.

Gamecock greats spent time together at the Legends Reception on the evening of Feb. 3, while the Gamecock coaching staff and student-athletes also attended. A Tip-Off Club Brunch began festivities on Saturday morning, before members of the 1997 SEC Championship team signed autographs on the concourse before the game. At halftime, members of the 1997 SEC Championship team that were able to return for the game were honored at mid-court. Head coach of the championship team Eddie Fogler was also on hand for the celebration. Longtime equipment manager Mac Credille was also honored as part of the halftime ceremony for the Mac Credille Men’s Basketball Manager Scholarship.
