No. 20 men’s tennis earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014, marking the 23rd time the Gamecocks will play in the event in school history. South Carolina finished the season 20-6, the most wins in a season since 2005, and 9-3 in the SEC, a program record for SEC wins and tied a program best regular season SEC finish at third. The Gamecocks will face East Tennessee State University (16-7) in the first round Friday, May 12 at 10 a.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The winner will advance to play the winner of the match between host North Carolina (9) and Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday, May 13 at 1 p.m..
