Women's Soccer To Host Florida Friday In NCAA Quarterfinals

COLUMBIA, S.C. – No. 1 seeded South Carolina women’s soccer will host third-seeded Florida in the NCAA Quarterfinals on Fri., Nov. 24. The match at Stone Stadium is slated for 6 p.m. ET.
Friday’s All-SEC affair will mark the second meeting between the Gamecocks (18-2-1) and Gators (17-6-0) this season. Carolina clinched the SEC Regular-Season Title after topping Florida 1-0 on the road on Oct. 26.
With a win, the Gamecocks would punch the program’s first ticket to the Women’s College Cup.
Carolina advanced to the quarterfinal round after downing Santa Clara 1-0 in Sunday’s third round behind a tally in the fourth minute from senior forward Savannah McCaskill. The Gators beat Washington State in round three on a golden goal in the 104th minute.
Tickets for Friday’s match, which are on sale now, are $8 for adults and $5 for students and children (17 and under). Fans can call the ticket office at 803-777-4274 or order and print tickets online. Tickets will also be available on the day of the game at the gate, where only cash will be accepted.
