HUMBLE, Texas — South Carolina had another solid round at the All-American Intercollegiate on Saturday. The Gamecocks shot 283 (-5) and sit in fourth place heading into tomorrow’s final round at 12-under par for the tournament.

Senior Keenan Huskey paced Carolina again with another lights out 68 (-4) thanks to a pair of 32s on the front and back nine. The Greenville, S.C., native had six birdies to lead the team. He now has 11 for the tournament, which ranks fourth in the field. Huskey is tied for fourth in the field in par-4 scoring average (3.75, -5).

Fellow senior Ben Dietrich shot 70 (-2) and played great golf joining Huskey in the red with his second-straight under-par round. The Bluffton, S.C., native, is T-15th at 3-under for the tournament. Dietrich had just one bogey and recorded three birdies in 18 holes on Saturday.

Junior Scott Stevens turned in an even par 72. He sits at 1-under for the tournament. Sophomore Jamie Wilson bounced back from an eight on the par-4 fifth hole to shoot 1-under over his final 13 holes. He carded a 1-over 73 and sits at even par through two rounds. Freshman Andrew Spiegler was unable to get it going Friday, carding a 77 (+5).

No. 9 Auburn has ran away with the team race thanks to a 17-under 271 in the second round today. The Tigers have a 13-shot lead over No. 6 Baylor heading into tomorrow’s final round. 42nd-ranked Jovan Rebula of Auburn is in the individual lead at 10-under. He shot a 7-under 65 today to move to the top of the leaderboard. It’s a tight individual race, as 12 players are within five shots of the lead.

“Keenan has been really sharp with his game the past two days, but Ben Dietrich has played really well too. It’s great to have their senior leadership. I really like how this team is playing loose and fighting for every shot. The effort and attitude Coach Amos and I are looking for is there. Auburn played great today and we’ll need a special effort from our guys to run them down tomorrow.”

Dietrich recorded his second-straight round under-par with his 70 on Friday. It marks the redshirt senior’s 21st career round of par or better and his fourth round of par or better in eight outings during the 2017-18 season. The Bluffton, S.C., native, is in the running for his third career top-10 finish heading into Sunday’s final round.
