April 15, 2018
COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina men’s tennis match against Alabama has been suspended until Monday morning at 11:30 a.m. ET with both teams deadlocked at 3-3.
Play was stopped due to severe weather in the area with Harrison O’Keefe leading the third set of the No. 5 singles match, 4-2. O’Keefe dropped the first set 6-7 (4-7) but rebounded to win the second set 6-3. O’Keefe then earned back-to-back breaks to go ahead 2-1 and 4-1 before a double-fault brought the third set to 4-2 where play was halted.
Carolina won the doubles point and the Nos. 2 and 4 singles matchups before play was suspended due to weather.
