USC’s Cocky is Guest at All-Star Challenge
National Mascot of the Year takes part in Capital One All-Star Challenge

National Mascot of the Year Cocky was part of an all-star extravaganza as some of college football’s finest and the University of South Carolina mascot participated at the Capital One All-Star Challenge last weekend during Super Bowl weekend.

The challenge consisted of eight of college football’s elite as they competed against each other in several skill and technique drills. Sponsored by Capital One, the event was held Friday, Jan. 30 at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Cocky shared the spotlight with Roy Williams of Texas, Reggie Williams of Washington, Casey Clausen of Tennessee, Jared Lorenzen of Kentucky, Michigan’s Chris Perry, Michigan State’s Jeff Smoker, Pittsburgh’s Rod Rutherford and Julius Jones of Notre Dame.

The event aired on FOX on Super Bowl Sunday as Cocky entertained the fans that were in attendance and helped present the award to the winning duo. The Garnet and Black’s mascot also participated as he demonstrated the football toss event with FOX commentator Jason Garrett.
