Gamecocks Set For SEC Media Day Wednesday

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Preparations for the 2018-19 season of South Carolina basketball continue on Wednesday when head coach Frank Martin, senior forward Chris Silva and junior forward Maik Kotsar travel to Birmingham, Ala., for SEC Media Day.  The trio will represent the Gamecocks at the annual event, which takes place in advance of Carolina’s season opener vs. USC Upstate on Nov. 6.

Fans can keep up with the Gamecocks at media day at the links to the right of this release – Twitter, Instagram and Facebook – while Martin, Silva and Kotsar will also be featured on the SEC Network’s SEC Now, beginning at 11:40 a.m. ET.  Fans should also keep an eye on the SEC and SEC Network social media accounts for content from the day.

Prior to its official start to the 2018-19 campaign, South Carolina will host Augusta University in a free admission exhibition contest at Colonial Life Arena on Oct. 26.  Tip time for the matchup is set for 6 p.m. ET.
