Carolina Heads to Adidas XC Challenge
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The South Carolina women’s cross country team hits the road for its first away meet of the season, competing at the Adidas XC Challenge hosted by N.C. State in Cary, N.C., on Friday at the WakeMed Soccer Park.
The Gamecocks have only raced one time this season, hosting the Carolina Challenge – 5K. At the meet, Heather Stone placed first with a PR of 17:27.6, good for third in program history. Coming in third, Hannah Twine crushed her first race back after a year off, posting a PR of 18:35.4.
Carolina will take off at 6:25 p.m., in the Women’s White 5K, the last race of the evening. The adidas XC Challenge will be split into Red (non-Division I/club) and White (Division I) races and will be scored in dual-meet format.
