Senior Spotlight: Quinn Brandt

Quinn Brandt traveled a long distance to be with the Gamecocks coming all the way from Blumenort, Manitoba, but the only thing greater than that distance is the influence she’s had on the team.

“Quinn is always the logical and honest one,” head coach Boo Major said. “How lucky were we to have Quinn transfer to USC and spend three years as a student athlete? “I feel like I’m doing a repeat because Quinn was supposed to leave us last year, but with a year of eligibility left she decided to stay. As a grad student I know she is getting the most out of her educational opportunities and she is always trying to improve herself in the competition arena.”

Brandt took her lumps during her first year with the Gamecocks but kicked things up a notch in her second go round earning a pair of Most Outstanding Player honors against TCU and Georgia. She’s tallied 11 horsemanship wins through her three seasons in Columbia.

Academically Brandt has shined earning NCEA All-Academic Second Team honors in 2019. She also earned NCEA Academic Honor Roll and SEC Academic Honor Roll distinctions in 2019.

Brandt is pursuing a master’s in social work.
