Roussin-Bouchard Named to 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup Team

Norman, Okla.  – South Carolina women’s golf freshman Pauline Roussin-Bouchard has been named to the 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup Team; officials announced Wednesday.

The Arnold Palmer Cup, which was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America, is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men’s and women’s university/college golfers. The tournament matches the golfers from the United States against a team of international players, the team Roussin-Bouchard will be on.

The No. 1 amateur in the world per the Women’s Amateur Golf Rankings, Roussin-Bouchard has made a substantial impact on the Gamecocks this season. She helped the team win a pair of tournaments in the fall and notch a third-place finish at its lone tournament of the spring so far. The freshman claimed medalist honors at the Windy City Collegiate Classic back in October and notched the lowest round for any Gamecock in program history with her 7-under 65 in the second round.

The 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup will be hosted by Lahinch Golf Club on July 3-5, 2020, and we’ll have updates leading to and all the way through Pauline’s journey there.
