Hilton Head, S.C. – The No. 4 South Carolina women’s golf team kept the momentum it found yesterday to rise up the leaderboard and take sixth at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club on Sunday.
“Our back nine was exceptional today,” head coach Kalen Anderson said. “We really started to get in a groove, and this was a positive note to end on as we’ve got another tournament in a week and a half. I was very pleased to see them come back with toughness and resilience.”
Senior Lois Kaye Go had the best round of the day for the Gamecocks with her 1-under 70, her lowest round of the tournament. Go tied the team lead with three birdies on the day.
Fellow senior Ana Pelaez finished the round with a 1-over 72 and a trio of birdies as well. Pelaez finished the tournament tied for 10th place.
Joining Pelaez in a tie for 10th was freshman Pauline Roussin-Bouchard after she posted a 2-over 73 on Sunday. Roussin-Bouchard also birdied three holes for Carolina.
