Gamecocks Set To Participate In 2020 Hall Of Fame Classic

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina is part of the field at the 2020 Hall of Fame Classic next November, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today.  The championship rounds will be held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Nov. 23-24, and will feature the Gamecocks, TCU, Northwestern and Cal.

The Hall of Fame Classic Powered by ShotTracker will be the culminating event of college basketball’s Hall of Fame Weekend, which also includes the 15th annual induction ceremony for the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.  That event will take place on Sunday, Nov. 22 in Kansas City.

“I’m extremely excited to bring our program to Kansas City to be a part of the Hall of Fame Classic, something I was a part of in my time at Kansas State,” South Carolina head coach Frank Martin said.  “It’s a great time to further expose our program to that part of the country and the great fans in the Kansas City area and a great venue in the Sprint Center.”

The semifinal rounds will be held on Monday, Nov. 23. The finals will take place the following day, Tuesday, Nov. 24, beginning with the consolation game, followed by the championship game.  All four contests will be aired on an ESPN network.

Select tickets for the championship round games at Sprint Center will be available beginning Tuesday, March 10, at 10:00 am CT through www.axs.com or www.halloffameweekend.com, and will remain on sale through the end of the college basketball season on April 7.  Additional tickets will be available beginning on Saturday, September 5, at 10:00 am CT via the same on-line ticket outlets, as well as charge by phone at 1-888-929-7849 and in person at Sprint Center Box Office.

The complete bracket, including matchups and television times for the 2020 Hall of Fame Classic Powered by ShotTracker, will be announced at a later date.
