Carolina Equestrian Announces Fall Schedule

Columbia, S.C. – The University of South Carolina equestrian team announced its schedule for the 2020-21 season on Monday Carolina will compete against Southeastern Conference foes in the fall, per the regulations set forth by the SEC.

“We are so excited to be competing in the fall in the SEC,” head coach Boo Major said. “As coaches, we worked tirelessly to make this happen, but the real hard work has come from our senior woman administrators, athletics directors and presidents. A huge thank you to Maria Hickman, President Caslen and especially Coach Tanner for all their support through this process. Our student-athletes want to compete and want to continue to work on the new normal. We are aware we still have some hurdles to get through, but we know our student athlete experience will greatly improve with fall competitions.”

The Gamecocks are set to hold their annual Garnet and Black scrimmage on Oct. 9 before opening the season against Auburn on Oct. 16 at OneWood Farm. Next up is a trip to College Station to clash with Texas A&M on Nov. 5 before wrapping up the fall slate with a home meet against Georgia on Nov. 13.

More information for spectators and attendance will be made available closer to the start of the season.
