Gamecocks Rank in Top-25 in All-Sports Winning Pct. Over Last 5 Years

Carolina Ranks 22nd Among 353 Division I Schools

Over the last five years (2015-20), University of South Carolina athletics teams had a cumulative winning percentage of 63.7, which was 22nd nationally among all 353 NCAA Division I institutions.

The Gamecocks were 4th among SEC schools in the rankings, behind only Florida (3rd, 72.3), Texas A&M (10th, 67.6) and Kentucky (17th, 65.4).
From 2015-20, Carolina has participated in 72 NCAA post-season tournaments (including three bowl games), won two team national championships, five individual national titles, five SEC championships and five SEC tournament titles.

The research was done by Communications staff at James Madison University, compiling head-to-head records in football, men’s and women’s swimming & diving, softball, men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s soccer and baseball.  The data also included sports that South Carolina does not participate in – lacrosse and field hockey.
