Schmelzel and Roussin-Bouchard Finish Up at U.S. Women’s Open
HOUSTON, Texas – South Carolina alumnae Sarah Schmelzel sophomore Pauline Roussin-Bouchard weathered rough conditions to wrap up the U.S. Women’s Open on Monday at Champions Golf Club.
Schmelzel finished in a tie for 23rd place after posting a 4-over on Monday. She did notch a birdie on 14, but the course was especially rough after inclement weather delayed the final round to Monday, making it tough to find a rhythm
Roussin-Bouchard finished tied for 46th after her 7-over on Monday. The sophomore did have some moments to shine on Monday, including a spectacular chip shot out of a bunker to make par on the ninth hole.
