Pauline Roussin-Bouchard Set for Arnold Palmer Cup

NORMAN, Okla. – South Carolina sophomore is set to compete in the Arnold Palmer Cup at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando, Fla. on Dec. 21-23.

Roussin-Bouchard will compete for the international team as they clash with the American team over the three days of the tournament. The sophomore put together an impressive fall for the Gamecocks, winning her second collegiate championship at The Ally in October. She enters the Arnold Palmer Cup as the No. 2 ranked player in the women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking, and just wrapped up competition at the Women’s U.S. Open.

Originally scheduled to be played July 3-5 at Lahinch Golf Club in Lahinch, Ireland, the event was moved to December to Mr. Palmer’s winter home, the Bay Hill Club & Lodge. The inaugural Arnold Palmer Cup was staged there in 1997 and Bay Hill will be the first venue to host the matches twice.

The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla., in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men’s and women’s university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players.
