Andrew Halloran Named C-USA Offensive Player Of The Week
First career player of the week honor for Halloran
COLUMBIA, S.C. —- For his efforts in Sunday afternoon’s 4-2 victory over Winthrop, South Carolina men’s soccer’s Andrew Halloran was named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today. In 24 minutes of action off the bench, Halloran recorded his first-career hat trick to help lead Carolina to its first win of the spring season.
A junior from Greer, S.C., Halloran’s three second-half goals propelled the Gamecocks to their third-straight victory dating back to the Oct. 9 shutout at Mercer.
Halloran is South Carolina’s first C-USA Offensive Player of the Week since Luca Mayr in 2017. This is the 16th Conference Player of the Week honor for the Gamecocks since joining C-USA in 2005.
Carolina returns to action Wednesday night with a 7:00 p.m. ET kick against USC Upstate. A free live stream will be provided through gamecocksonline.com or fans can follow along with free live stats and social media updates.
