
Gamecocks Drop Match To Charlotte
COLUMBIA, S.C. —- South Carolina men’s soccer dropped a 2-0 match to Charlotte Saturday at Stone Stadium. Goals at the 4-minute mark and 76th minute proved to be the difference as the 49ers earned the Conference-USA victory.
Charlotte (3-2-1, 3-0-0 C-USA) out-shot the Gamecocks (6-5-1, 0-2-1) 16-10 on the afternoon with a 10-3 advantage on shots on goal. The 49ers finished with a 5-4 lead in corners in a match that featured 28 combined fouls between the two teams.
South Carolina returns to action on March 27 at FAU in search of a key three points in conference play.
