Sloane Vogt Named Co-SEC Rider of the Month

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Junior Sloane Vogt continues to rack up honors this season, earning the SEC Co-Reining Rider of the Month award for March, SEC officials announced on Wednesday. 

Vogt closed the regular season with a 71-69 win at No. 1 Auburn to take her second Most Outstanding Player honor of the season. The junior posted a career best 5-1-0 record in reining and finished the regular season on a five-meet winning streak. 

Earlier this season Vogt earn the SEC Reining Rider of the Fall award, and the NCEA Reining Rider of the Month honor for November 2020. 

The Gamecocks get their postseason underway on Friday against No. 1 Auburn in the SEC Championship semifinal, set to begin at 2:30 p.m. at the University of Georgia Equestrian Center in Bishop, Ga.
