Junior in top-10 after a bogey free 66 (-6) in round two late Saturday
AUGUSTA, Ga. — Junior Ryan Hall continued his standout play on the course for South Carolina as he’s T-7th at 6-under through two rounds of the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational. He opened with a 72 (E) in round one this morning and closed his day with a bogey free 66 (-6) in the second round to climb the leaderboard.
Hall made a team-best nine birdies the first 36 holes and he’s also tied for the field lead in par-4 scoring average (-5, 3.75) through two rounds. The Knoxville, Tenn., native hasn’t finished outside the top-20 in the 2020-21 season and leads the team with four top-10 finishes.
The Gamecocks struggled as a team however on Saturday, shooting over par both rounds. Carolina is 13th at 11-over, five shots behind No. 24 South Florida who is in ninth at 6-over.
