Gamecocks to Play in Inaugural Women's Battle 4 Atlantis

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will participate in the inaugural Women’s Battle 4 Atlantis slated for Nov. 20-22, 2021, in The Bahamas at Atlantis Paradise Island. The eight women’s teams participating represent 12 National Championships, 30 NCAA Final Four appearances and 43 conference championships.

In addition to the No. 6/4 Gamecocks, the tournament will feature three other teams ranked in the final 2020-21 polls – No. 1/3 UConn, No. 23/15 Oregon and No. 20/18 South Florida. Buffalo, Minnesota, Oklahoma and Syracuse round out the field.

South Carolina closed its 2020-21 season by advancing to the NCAA Final Four for the third time in the last six times the event has been held with a 26-5 overall record and its sixth SEC Tournament title in the last seven seasons.
