Go, Rodrigues Named to Academic All-District Teams
Go is a three-time Academic All-District selection with her sights set on making the Academic All-America team for a third straight season as well. The NCAA Elite 90 Award winner at the women’s golf championship, she finished her undergraduate career with a 4.0 GPA while majoring in accounting in addition to notching the second lowest scoring average in program history. A three-time Golfweek All-America Honorable Mention honoree, Go excelled for the Gamecocks throughout her time in Columbia. She is the only two-time SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year in program history, earning the award in 2019 and 2020.
Rodrigues, an experimental psychology major, earned his first Academic All-District selection today, adding to his two ITA Scholar-Athlete selections in his first two seasons with the Gamecocks. He finished the 2020-21 season as the NCAA Singles Championship runner-up and the No. 3 ranked player in the country, tying for the highest final ranking in program history. His 31 singles victories included 15 against nationally ranked opponents, the second-most in program history, with seven of those coming against top-25 foes. A First-Team All-SEC selection for the second time in his career, Rodrigues is just the third Gamecock to earn a spot on that team multiple times in his career.
