CLEMSON, S.C. – The 12th ranked South Carolina women’s soccer team heads down to in-state rival Clemson, where the two teams will meet for a 6 p.m. showdown Thursday night (Sept. 9). The match will be broadcast on the ACC Network.

2021 Season Notables

  • The Gamecocks stayed at the No. 12 spot in this week’s United Soccer Coaches Poll.
  • South Carolina picked up a 4-1 at home over Charlotte Monday night.
  • Luciana Zullo scored her first goal of the season 46 seconds into the match. That’s tied for the second fastest goal in program history.
  • Corinna Zullo and Eveleen Hahn each scored their third goal of the season in the match.
  • Zullo has now earned a point in the last four matches.
  • Hahn has now scored a goal in three out of the last four matches.
  • Freshman Lily Render scored her first collegiate goal in the 89th minute. Fellow freshman Megan Spiehs picked up her first collegiate point, assisting on Render’s goal.
  • Corinna Zullo assisted on Patrick’s goal. She has now recorded a point in three straight matches.
  • Heather Hinz earned her first shutout of the season, finishing with three saves.
  • The Gamecocks continued their trend of using a deep bench as 22 players earned minutes in the Charlotte match.
  • In five matches this season, South Carolina has used at least 20 players in every match; 24, 22, 21, 20, and 22 players, respectively.
  • South Carolina was picked by the league’s coaches to finish third in the 2021 SEC regular season. The Gamecocks have not finished a season lower than third in the SEC since 2015.
