Carolina Men's Soccer Earns Academic Honors

It's the 13th consecutive year the Gamecock men have been honored as College Team Academic Award Recipients

KANSAS CITY – The South Carolina men’s soccer squad has been honored with the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year.
 
It is the 13th consecutive year the Gamecock men have earned the honor and the 16th time in the history of the accolade. The Gamecocks earned a 3.49 cumulative GPA during the 2020-21 academic year.
 
College Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster for the 2020-21 academic year. A total of 602 soccer teams (220 men, 382 women) across all collegiate levels earned the Team Academic Award. South Carolina was one of 90 schools who had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.
 
Carolina’s men’s soccer team is set to travel for a matchup with Charlotte at 7 p.m. on Saturday night at Transamerica Field.
