Garnet Tops Black in Scrimmage
BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – Team Garnet outlasted team Black in the Garnet and Black scrimmage on Friday at One Wood Farm.
In fences, McKenzie Suffy on team Black toop Most Outstanding Player honors with a score of 85. Kit Cunninghamearned an 88 on the flat, also earning M.O.P. honors for team Black.
In horsemanship, Cora Wyers was named M.O.P. with a score of 75, bringing in the third honor for team Black. The lone Garnet M.O.P. went to Chloe Stephenson in reining with a score of 71.5
The Gamecocks will open their season on the road against UC Davis on Thursday, Sept. 30, at 2 p.m.
