Wall, Franks Pace Carolina on Day Two at Isleworth

WINDERMERE, Fla. — South Carolina had another solid day at the 2021 Isleworth Collegiate as the team shot 289 (+1) to move into fifth place on the leaderboard. Junior Jack Wall led the team again with a 3-under 69. He’s two shots back at 7-under behind leader Cameron Sisk of Arizona State.
 
Wall made the turn at even par with a birdie and an eagle on the front nine. He closed with birdies on four of his final six holes, including three-straight red numbers on holes 15 through 17.
 
True freshman Nathan Franks, who is making his lineup debut this week, also played great for Carolina shooting 71 (1). The Roebuck, S.C., native was 4-over through 12 holes then made five-straight birdies coming in on holes 13 through 17.
 
Senior All-American Ryan Hall (74, +2) and senior transfer Evans Lewis (75, +3) were the final counting scores for the Gamecocks in round two.
 
Carolina will be paired with No. 21 LSU and No. 42 North Florida for the final round on Tuesday. Freshman Gene Zeigler will lead things off at 8:50 a.m. (ET) on hole one.
