Roussin-Bouchard Named WGCA First Team All-American

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.  –  University of South Carolina women’s golf sophomore Pauline Roussin-Bouchard added another honor to her growing list of accolades, being named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association First Team All-America squad, WGCA officials announced on Tuesday.

The 2021 SEC Player of the Year and SEC Champion, Roussin-Bouchard just finished the best season for a golfer in Gamecock history. The sophomore won four tournaments during the season, including the 2021 SEC Championship, carding a SEC Championship and South Carolina program record score of 17-under (199). All four Roussin-Bouchard’s wins this season account for the four lowest 54-hole scores in program history, and her 70.66 scoring average is the lowest single-season total in team history.

A finalist for the 2021 ANNIKA Award, Roussin-Bouchard also earned WGCA First Team All-America honors as a freshman in 2020. Through her two seasons in the Garnet and Black Roussin-Bouchard has notched five tournament wins, the second highest total in program history, and she’s tied for fifth with eight top-5 finishes.

The Gamecocks completed their season at the NCAA Championship earlier this week, capping off a season where the team won a program record four tournaments and finished the year with a 287.55 scoring average, the lowest in team history.
