Tai Anudit Joins Women’s Golf

COLUMBIA, S.C.  –  The University of South Carolina women’s golf team is adding some experience to its 2021-22 roster with the addition of graduate transfer Tai Anudit, the team announced on Wednesday.

“We are so excited for Tai to join us this fall,” head coach Kalen Anderson said. “She is an extremely talented player who will make an immediate impact in our line-up. We are looking forward to assisting Tai in achieving her lofty goals, and I am confident she will thrive in our environment here.”

Anudit joins the Gamecocks after graduating from Kennesaw State where she earned ASUN Golfer of the Year honors as she helped lead the Owls to the 2021 ASUN Championship, taking individual medalist honors at the ASUN Championship with a tournament, and school record, 54-hole score of 11-under (205). Anudit earned Golfweek All-America Honorable Mention distinction on June 10.

“I chose to commit to the University of South Carolina because I want to be a part of a successful golf program that will push me to become a better golfer and help me to pursue my dreams of playing on the LPGA Tour,” Anudit said of her decision to join the Gamecocks. “As South Carolina is one of the top ranked schools in the country, I knew it was where I wanted to go to.”

As a junior in 2019-20 Anudit finished the shorted season as the top ranked player in the ASUN with a 73.14 scoring average. Prior to her time at Kennesaw State Anudit played two seasons at Seminole State College where she won the NJCAA National Championship as a sophomore and led her team to the NJCAA National Championship. The Phitsanulok, Thailand native finished as the No. 2 ranked player in the NJCAA as a freshman in 2018.

More information about the 2021-22 South Carolina women’s golf season will be available later this summer.
