Women's Basketball Game Times and TV Networks Set

COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball will play 21 of its 29 games on national television this season, the SEC office announced today. That number includes a minimum four games on ESPN, as many as eight on ESPN2, one on ESPN News, seven on SEC Network and one ACC Network game. The possible 13 games on the main ESPN networks include five non-conference contests and by far lead the SEC in appearances.

The volume of feature broadcasts reflects the challenging schedule Staley has put in place on top of the annual SEC gauntlet her team navigates. South Carolina’s non-conference schedule includes ESPN games against Big Ten Champion Maryland (Dec. 12) as part of the Women’s Jimmy V Classic and Final Four participant UConn (Jan. 27) and an ESPN2 outing against National Champion Stanford (Dec. 21). The season opener at ACC Tournament Champion NC State (Nov. 9) will air on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ACC Network, and the Gamecocks’ game against South Dakota (Nov. 12) at The Invitational in Sioux Falls, S.D., is set for an ESPN News broadcast.

SEC Network will air the Gamecocks’ home game against North Carolina A&T (Nov. 29), and fans can watch South Carolina at Duke (Dec. 15) on ACC Network.

In SEC action, ESPN picked up both games of the South Carolina-Kentucky series (Jan. 9, Feb. 10). ESPN2 is set to air South Carolina home games against Mississippi State (Feb. 6) and Tennessee (Feb. 20) and a road trip to Georgia (Feb. 13). Three South Carolina league games will appear on either ESPN2 or SEC Network – Ole Miss (Jan. 2), at Arkansas (Jan. 16) and at Ole Miss (Feb. 27). The network for those games will be announced 7-10 days prior to tipoff.

Six South Carolina SEC games will air on SEC Network, including the Gamecocks’ SEC opener at Missouri (Dec. 30) and both games of the South Carolina-Texas A&M series (Jan. 13, Feb. 24). Home games against Vanderbilt (Jan. 24) and Auburn (Feb. 17) and the road game at Florida (Jan. 30) are also slated for SEC Network.

All games on ESPN networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SEC Network) are also available through the ESPN app, which is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected streaming devices nationwide or via espn.com/watch.

Tipoff times for the Gamecocks’ non-televised home games have also been confirmed as has SEC Network+ broadcast for at least three of those four games with just the Elon game on Nov. 26 still being evaluated.
