Hall Named SEC Golfer of the Week
Senior All-American picked up his fourth career win at Palmetto Intercollegiate Tuesday
AIKEN, S.C. — All-American Ryan Hall was named SEC Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday morning. The Knoxville, Tenn., native won the Palmetto Intercollegiate (March 7-8) by five shots earlier in the week.
The victory was the fourth of this career (first this season), which now puts him T-2nd all-time in program history with All-Americans Keenan Huskey (2014-18), Carl Paulson (1989-93) and Matt NeSmith (2012-16) for the most career wins.
Hall shot 200 (-10) with three consecutive rounds in the 60s. He went wire-to-wire after jumping out to a six-shot lead the first two rounds, matching a career-best score with a 64 (-6) in the opening round. Hall led the field with 26 birdies on the week. He also led the field in par-3 scoring average (-2, 2.83) and par-5 scoring average (-5, 4.17).
Today marks the second time Hall has been tabbed SEC Golfer of the Week in his career.
The four-year starter has been remarkably consistent throughout his career with 22 top-20 finishes in 30 starts.
