SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. -- Former All-American and current LPGA member Pauline Roussin-Bouchard qualified for her first U.S. Women's Open on Wednesday morning. She shot 144 (E) with rounds of 73 (+1) and 71 (-1) to join a group of four other players tied, forcing a five for two playoff.

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. — Former All-American and current LPGA member Pauline Roussin-Bouchard qualified for her first U.S. Women’s Open on Wednesday morning. She shot 144 (E) with rounds of 73 (+1) and 71 (-1) to join a group of four other players tied, forcing a five for two playoff.
 
Anna Morgan made birdie on the first playoff hole to take the first spot up for grabs. Roussin-Bouchard followed suit and birdied the second playoff hole to earn the third and final spot available. Bethany Wu was medalist with a 36-hole score of 140 (-4).
 
Current Gamecocks Justine Fournand and Louise Rydqvist were also in the field each shooting 149 (+5).
 
Theis year’s U.S. Women’s Open will take place June 2-5 at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club. It marks the 77th edition of the event which is one of the LPGA’s five major championships.
