COLUMBIA, S.C. -- The University of South Carolina baseball team plays its final home game of the 2022 regular season Tuesday night (May 17) as the Gamecocks host Charlotte at Founders Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday's game will be streamed on SEC Network Plus. All games also will be broadcast on the Gamecock Sports Network with Derek Scott and Tommy Moody on the call. The Gamecocks are coming off winning 2-of-3 games against Kentucky, including shutting out the Gamecocks, 7-0, on Saturday behind eight scoreless frames from Noah Hall.

PARKING INFORMATION
Shuttle parking for the University of South Carolina baseball season will be operational at the Key Road Gravel Lot (1105 Key Road). Shuttle begins two (2) hours prior to first pitch and continues until 1 hour after the game.

For GPS purposes, the address for the Key Road Gravel Lot is 1105 Key Road, Columbia, SC 29201.

GAME DAY PARKING INFORMATION (including public game day lots (PGDL: $10/$5 per game). All gameday lots are cashless. Please have a debit card or credit card ready for payment upon entry into parking lots.

SCOUTING CHARLOTTE
The 49ers are coming off winning 2-of-3 games at Florida Atlantic this past weekend. Jake Cunningham was a perfect 4-for-4 in the series finale, a 14-4 win over the Owls. Nate Furman leads Charlotte with a .361 batting average while Cam Fisher has 17 home runs on the year. On the mound, Spencer Giesting has 86 strikeouts in 62.2 innings pitched.

SERIES VS. CHARLOTTE
Carolina holds a 25-8 series advantage on Charlotte heading into Tuesday’s game. The two teams last played each other on April 9, 2019, with the Gamecocks coming away with a 5-4 win. Andrew Eyster had two hits in the win while Sawyer Bridges struck out three to earn the win on the mound.

HALL NAMED SEC CO-PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Noah Hall was named the SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced on May 16. Hall earns his second SEC Pitcher of the Week honor this season. He also was named Co-Pitcher of the Week after his performance against Alabama on May 2. Hall helped Carolina to its first SEC shutout of 2022 as he pitched a career high eight innings, allowing just two hits while striking out eight in a 7-0 win over Kentucky. He allowed just three base runners to reach second base in his eight innings while he ended the third, fifth, sixth and eighth innings with strikeouts. Hall lowered his ERA to 4.40 and his conference ERA to 3.19 with the win.

SIGHTLER KEEPS THE BAT HOT
Josiah Sightler has improved his batting average to .294 after being at .167 after The Citadel game on March 23. Sightler went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles and a home run in Friday’s win and had two more hits on Saturday. Sightler leads the team with 13 home runs to go along with 11 doubles.

The Gamecocks end the 2022 regular season this Thursday-Saturday, facing Florida in Gainesville. Thursday and Friday’s games are 7 p.m. with Saturday’s game at 2 p.m.
