Men’s Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team

Columbia, S.C. – For the eleventh-straight season, South Carolina men’s tennis was named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, the organization announced today. Three Gamecocks were also named ITA Scholar Athletes.

Junior Daniel Rodrigues led the individual honors, claiming the award for the fourth time in as many seasons at South Carolina. He joins Kyle Koch (2012-15), Thomas Mayronne (2015-18) and Thomas Brown (2017-21) as the only four-time selections in program history.

Junior Jake Beasley earned the selection for the third time and sophomore Connor Thomson made his second appearance on the list.

A student-athlete must have at least a 3.5 grade point average for the academic year to receive the ITA Scholar-Athlete Award, and a team must have a 3.2 GPA for the team award.
