Gamecocks Women's Soccer to Face East Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 12 South Carolina women’s soccer team is set to take on East Carolina at home on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 2:00p.m. in Stone Stadium.

The Gamecocks head into Sunday’s match coming off a 0-0 draw against defending National Champions Florida State. The tie against the Seminoles marked the first against a No. 1 team in program history. Senior goalkeeper Heather Hinz showed out for South Carolina, notching six saves on the night despite FSU taking a 18-7 shot advantage on the night.

East Carolina comes into Sunday falling to Duke in their season opener, 1-0. The Pirates put up one shot throughout the game, but goalkeeper Maeve English was able to save six of the Blue Devils’ 15 against them. The Gamecocks posses a 6-0-0 series record over ECU, having won the last battle 1-0 back in August of 2021.

For fans attending Thursday’s game, student entry can be made through the Whaley Street gates. All others (media, season ticket holders, walk-ups) can enter through the Heyward Street gate. Parking is free within the Athletic Village Garage.
