After a back-and-forth possession battle for most of the first half, sophomore Megan Spiehs capitalized on a deflected ball and scored the first goal of her collegiate career in the 41st minute to tie things up 1-1 after the Tigers’ got on the board in the 3rd minute of play.

The Gamecocks’ Catherine Barry kicked things into gear after Clemson put themselves back on top, making three shots (one on goal) in three minutes in attempts to make things even. Barry made the connection on her fourth attempt with an assist from Corinna Zullo, tying things back up 2-2 in the 81st minute.

Furman will meet South Carolina coming off a 9-0 shut out over Bob Jones, finishing with a 40-3 shot advantage (18 on-goal). The Paladins are 3-2-0 on the season.
