Women's Soccer to Host No. 20 Arkansas for SEC Home Opener
COLUMBIA, S.C. – The No. 8 ranked women’s soccer team (6-1-3) returns home ready to face No. 20 Arkansas (6-2-1) in Stone Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 2:00 p.m. The game will be live on SEC Network+.

Last Time Out
The Gamecocks notched their first SEC win over Georgia 1-0 in the 81st minute of play after sophomore Payton Patrick punched one in, redeeming herself after an earlier goal of hers was called back due to a handball. The goal was the first for Patrick this season and the third of her career.
The pair of teams looked identical on paper after the first half between possession and shots, including being scoreless through the first 45.
South Carolina finished the game with a 13-11 shot advantage, and took six corners on the night. Barry ended with five shots, and senior goalkeeper Heather Hinz recorded one save.
Scouting the Razorbacks
Arkansas heads into Sunday’s matchup with their first SEC win over Auburn, 1-0. The win was their ninth against the Tigers. Forward Anna Podojil assisted in the match’s lone goal, which bumped her career points total to 108 and gave her sole possession of the program’s all-time points record.
With the win, the Razorbacks extended their home victory streak to 16. The game against Arkansas will mark the 25th in program history.
