  • The two teams met during South Carolina’s inaugural season on Sept. 26, 1978.
    • The Gamecocks won 13-2.
    • The 13 goals are a Carolina team record that still stands to this day.
    • In the match, Brian Winstead scored five goals and had two assists (12 pts), both of which are still program records.
  • Coastal has won the last three meetings.
  • The Gamecocks last earned three points on Nov. 7, 2015 at Stone Stadium, 1-0.
  • The Gamecocks are 0-3-1 in Conway.
  • The lone tie in the series came in 1980 in Conway, a 2-2 draw.
