Men’s Soccer Wraps Up Road Trip at Old Dominion Wednesday

NORFOLK, Va. – For the only time this season, the South Carolina men’s soccer team will play back-to-back true road matches, when the Gamecocks visit Old Dominion for a Sun Belt Conference match Wednesday, October 19, for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

• This is the 16th meeting between the two programs.
• They have met each of the last nine seasons, including playing twice in 2014, 16, and 17.
• ODU has won three of the last four meetings.
• The Gamecocks last earned three points on Oct. 29, 2017 at Stone Stadium, 3-2.
• The Gamecocks are 2-4-1 in Norfolk.
• The last time Carolina earned a road victory came in 2016, a 3-2 win.
• The only tie of the series came during the 2021 spring season, a 1-1 draw at Old Dominion.
• The Gamecocks have only shutout the Monarchs once, which came back in 2014, a 1-0 victory.

• Two Gamecocks have scored a brace this season, Adam Luckhurst and Logan Frost.
• Adam Luckhurst became the first player since 2018 to record a goal and two assists in a match when he did so against Winthrop.
• Rocky Perez and Bryce Griffith were named to the Wolstein Classic All-Tournament Team.
• Freshman goalkeeper Ben Alexander was named to the Canadian U-20 team, where he started three matches during the 2022 Concacaf Men’s U-20 Championship.
