Gamecocks Finish 10th at Isleworth Collegiate

WINDERMERE, Fla. – South Carolina finished 10^th at the Isleworth Collegiate on Tuesday, shooting 296 (+8) in the final round. The Gamecocks posted a 54-hole score of 881 (+17).

Fifth-year senior Evans Lewis paced the team in round three with a 2-under 70. The Sumter, S.C., native made four birdies and got off to a hot start with three-straight red numbers on holes two through four.

Graduate transfer Zack Byers shot 74 (+2) as he led the team with a 24^th place finish at 2-over for the tournament.

Sophomore Nathan Franks and freshman Zach Adams were the final counting scores, each shooting 76 (+4). Adams finished T-28^th at 4-over for the tournament in his lineup debut in Garnet and Black. Redshirt junior Lansdon Robbins also shot 76 (+4) today.

No. 3 Auburn won the team title by 12 shots over No. 11 Florida. No. 9 Illinois shot the round of the day with a 10-under 278 to take third. North Florida’s Nick Gabrelick and Auburn’s Brendan Valdes were co-medalist at 10-under.
