Aflac Oui-Play Details Finalized

DENVER, COLO. – Complete Sports Management (CSM) has added title sponsor Aflac, a leading provider of supplemental health insurance in the U.S., for its historic Oui-Play event that will open the 2023-24 college basketball season in Paris, France, on Mon., Nov. 6. Former women’s basketball national champions and preseason top-10 selections Notre Dame and South Carolina will make history playing the first-ever NCAA regular-season game in Paris, with tipoff at Halle Georges Carpentier Arena set for 1 p.m. ET with the game airing live on ESPN.

“We are excited to launch all of the college basketball season on ESPN with two top programs in the country,” CSM CEO Lea Miller-Tooley said. “We want to thank the city of Paris for their support and endorsement of this historic game.”

Joining as the event’s title sponsor, Aflac will continue to raise awareness around its work to help with expenses health insurance doesn’t cover while furthering its commitment to elevating and supporting remarkable athletes and coaches across college sports.

“We are grateful to be included in this significant milestone for women’s college basketball, bringing together two legendary teams in a city filled with rich history,” said Aflac Chief Marketing Officer Garth Knutson. “Aflac also has a deep history of supporting equal opportunities across collegiate sports, and we are excited to help spotlight these outstanding female athletes, their exceptional coaches and the passionate fans on an international platform through Aflac Oui-Play.”

In conjunction with Paris Basket, tickets for the event will be available for purchase online beginning August 21 or in-person on game day at the Halle Georges Carpentier box office. There will be three types of tickets available, ranging 10-30€ (cost in U.S. dollars will vary based on exchange rate at the time of purchase).

Courtside tickets are available on both baselines for 30€, and premium tickets located in the center section of each sideline are 20€. Paris level tickets are 10€ each and located behind and facing each team’s bench (see map at ticket purchase link for team bench locations). For more information on tickets, email billetterie@parisbasketball.net or call +33 06 28 65 62 82.

Both South Carolina and Notre Dame will arrive in Paris several days before the game with an opportunity to practice at the venue daily. Each team will have a chance to experience the sights and sounds of Paris as well through visits to the Louvre and a dinner cruise on the Seine. Together with Under Armour, the teams will host a youth basketball clinic on Saturday afternoon ahead of Monday’s tipoff and a return to the U.S. on Tuesday. The clinic, powered by UA Next, is an opportunity for Under Armour and the collegiate teams to come together to help break down barriers and increase access to the sport of basketball in Paris.

“It’s truly indescribable to experience women’s college basketball being showcased worldwide, and I’m thrilled that our team will be part of this effort,” South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley said. “Aflac remains committed to helping pave the way for women’s basketball, and this moment marks another milestone in that progress toward equity and equality.”

“We are ecstatic about this once in a lifetime opportunity to play in Paris, and we cannot thank the city enough for its efforts in making this possible,” Notre Dame women’s basketball head coach Niele Ivey said. “Being able to play in a historic venue while having the game showcased back home on ESPN is another step in the right direction for women’s basketball as it continues to grow both in the United States and across the globe.”

Aflac Oui-Play is the most recent addition to the events created by CSM, which has created experiences for college teams by taking them all over the world for more than a decade.
